Juliette Yu Ling Hsieh is a Taiwanese violinist and violin teacher currently based in Zürich, Switzerland. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Singapore in 2018, she moved to Switzerland to pursue her master’s studies. She earned her Master of Music in Performance in 2021, followed by a Master of Music in Pedagogy from the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in 2024. During her studies, she played as an academist in several Swiss orchestras, including the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester (2022-2023), the Sinfonieorchester Biel Solothurn (2022), and the Berner Symphonieorchester (2021-2022). Hsieh has also participated in numerous international music festivals and masterclasses, such as the Youth Classics Swiss International Music Academy, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra, the Tibor Varga Académie de Musique, and the Mozarteum Summer Academy.
Juliette Yu Ling Hsieh currently serves as concertmaster of the Sinfonisches Orchester Schweiz and the Kammerorchester des Musik-Collegiums Schaffhausen. She is also the second concertmaster of Camerata Aperta, the second violin leader of Collegium Musicum Urdorf, and member of Zürcher Kammerphilharmonie. As a freelance musician, she is on the substitute list for several professional orchestras, including Argovia Philharmonic, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Sinfonieorchester Biel Solothurn, and Zuger Sinfonietta. She will be the concertmaster of Winterthur Symphoniker with their Spring project 2026.
